The Saint Anthony Chain was modeled after the chain that Tony Soprano wore. It was difficult to land on the size for this chain — James Gandolfini was such a big guy that it was very hard to determine the length and pendant size he wore, and how to get the same look on the average person. In S1E12, "Isabella," Tony wanders over to the Cusamanos', where he meets Isabella, and in his depressed and drug-induced state, Tony fails to button his shirt all the way, giving us a clear shot of his Saint Anthony pendant sitting right at chest level. From this shot we estimated that he was wearing a 25mm pendant on a 2.5mm, 22-inch curb chain. We also took inspiration from S4E13, "White Caps," when Tony Soprano famously tells Carmela, "It's gonna cost you $3."
