The Lucky ring takes its inspiration from Sal's horseshoe ring. One unique aspect of this ring is that it is the only piece in the collection where the silver option is the original option — in the show, Sal wears a silver horseshoe pinky ring, not a gold ring that we formed into a silver option just for silver lovers, although we do have gold and silver choices for this ring.
When designing the ring, we spent a lot of time on the opening episode of Season 2, "Guy Walks Into a Psychiatrist's Office," aka Sal's return. In this scene, Tony walks down his driveway to get the newspaper, where Sal is waiting for him in his car.
Sal talks to Tony here a lot with his hands, especially when asking Tony if he has a guarantee that if he goes into his house, he'll come back out. Here we get to see how his ring dances in the light. Finally, when in Tony's house they end up hugging it out. We ended up pausing this clip to get a still image of Sal's pinky ring as he hugs Tony. We used these scenes when designing our Lucky ring, and tried to make the size of the stones and ring size similar to the ring in the show.
